Rap star Kanye West praised a survivor of the Parkland, Fla. school shooting as his “hero” on Saturday.
West shared a photo of Emma Gonzalez, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student who has become an outspoken advocate for gun control following the Feb. 14 shooting that killed 17 people.
Kashuv has emerged as a conservative counterweight to his peers pushing for stricter gun control laws following the shooting.
“You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him” Kanye tweeted Wednesday. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. THat’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”
On Friday, Kanye released a song with T.I defending his support.
